We Fight Any Claim Buck the Trend

Cwmbran based Claims Management Company, We Fight Any Claim (WFAC) saw a record month in July, illustrating that the scandal of mis-sold PPI is still very much alive. 

Whilst the PPI reclaiming industry appears to be contracting according to industry figures from the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) WFAC are actually continuing to increase the number of new customers and, most importantly are seeing an increase in the compensation offers from lenders that we are able to get for our customers.

Simon Chorlton, Managing Director at We Fight Any Claim commented:

“The messages we are getting from the banks, the FOS, and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) appear to be showing that PPI might have already reached its peak and volumes of claims are reducing. While we agree these are the trends across the industry this does not appear to be the case for We Fight Any Claim.

“The FOS recently stated that the volume of new PPI cases to reach them from April 2014 to March 2015 was down 49% on the previous year. This however might be attributed to the banks handling complaints more efficiently and customers not needing to enlist the help of the FOS. 

“If you break down the quarterly offer values on the FCA website you will see that in Q2 of 2015 the total offers to customers for mis-sold PPI is 1% down on Q2 of 2014, 11% down on Q2 of 2013, and a huge 38% down since the PPI reclaiming peak of Q2 in 2012 where over £1.9 billion was seen in offers.

“In contrast, We Fight Any Claim can today report that during the same period (April 2014 to March 2015) they have seen their number of offers grow by nearly 18%. In addition to this, over the same periods taken from the FCA figures, WFAC offer values for Q2 of 2015 are 41% up on the same period in 2014, 68% up against Q2 of 2013, and are over 102% up when compared to the industry peak in Q2 of 2012.

“What these figures show is that We Fight Any Claim is bucking the trend of the entire PPI reclaiming industry. Not only are the volumes of offers on the increase, the business also feels extremely proud and positive that we have just had a record number of new customers sign-up with us in July.

“As our expertise and knowledge of the processes and our relationships with lenders are developed, we continue to help put money back into consumers’ pockets across the UK, and we will continue to challenge lenders to properly and fairly compensate customers."
