We Fight Any Claim To Exhibit At Naidex 2018Dec 8, 2017
Unfortunately we live in a world where people see vulnerability as something that can be exploited for personal gain. Sales targets and hefty commissions drove those working within the financial industry to knowingly sell insurance policies to millions of customers who didn’t want or need it. For many people with pre-existing medical conditions, this meant they could never have claimed on their PPI if they had needed to.
It is for this reason that We Fight Any Claim will be exhibiting at Naidex 2018.
Naidex is Europe’s biggest trade and consumer show dedicated to the care, rehabilitation, and lifestyle of people with a disability or impairment. Taking place over two days, it is the powerhouse event of the independent living and disability industries.
As a business we often speak to people with long term health conditions, disabilities or those considered vulnerable due to their personal circumstances. The staff here at We Fight Any Claim are trained to adjust the service they deliver accordingly, to make sure the individual needs of our customers are met.
Once a customer decides to proceed with us, and returns their claim pack, it takes around fifteen days to establish whether PPI was sold to them. However, from that we still don’t know if the PPI was actually mis-sold. It is the job of our Claim Investigators to identify whether the customer could have been mis-sold PPI.
At this stage, there is an emphasis on pre-existing medical conditions, as PPI policies contained all sorts of exclusions and limitations. It is important to remember that PPI was designed to cover debt repayments if the customer suffered a temporary or permanent loss of income due to accident, sickness or unemployment.
Pre-existing medical conditions should have been spoken about at the point of sale, to see if the customer was likely to be eligible for the PPI policy in the first place. However, many of the most common reasons why people were off work were usually excluded in the small print on the PPI policies, but this was rarely explained to the customer.
We will be attending the event to answer any questions about the link between pre-existing medical conditions and the PPI scandal, and will be offering a free, no obligation PPI check for all attendees.
Richard Thomas, CEO of We Fight Any Claim spoke of our presence at Naidex 2018:
“The health complaints that were exempt from PPI meant many of those living with disabilities were paying for a cover that would never have benefitted them.We are aware of the financial pressures experienced by disabled people and understand that benefits and allowances do not cover all the costs associated with living with a disability. We hope that those attending Naidex will take advantage of the no-obligation, free PPI check that we are offering.”
We will be showcasing at Naidex 2018 as part of our aim to help as many people as possible to get money back they are entitled to. We will be there to provide advice and support to those people who would’ve never benefitted from their PPI policy in the first place.
